Highly textured abstract painting. The Weaver series of small eight 8in x 8in sculptural artworks are layered with archival acrylic paint, acrylic ink, and flexible modeling paste. Texturing goes over entire canvas including sides. D-rings and wire for hanging attached.

As Redin layered the works over and over again she began to think of the verb weave. A spider weaves a web for food to capture. A storyteller weaves together narrative. The paintings were inspired by the Wabi-Sabi theory of ephemeral beauty, also exploring how the layered textures could create spaces that capture, entice, emote, and allow a story to unfold.
