Cool It Down Mixed Media Series
A new 7 painting mixed media abstract series from Redin Winter. Original and one of a kind on stretched canvas. Her most vulnerable series to date, the new series is a response to the recent fire that destroyed her neighbor's home. The series while a response to the tragic event is also an expression of the bubbling negative energy that can overtake us. "Cool it Down" engages with ideas of destruction and rebuilding, how what happens around us can affect our way of thinking and being, the messy failures in the healing process, and the layered patches we stick on us to move forward. The mixed media which includes archival glass beads and drywall tape are symbolic of this life and trauma process.
